Customer Review: Optics are good but missing an adjustable table for glass slides
Summary: 4 Stars
The microscope is well made and the optics are pretty good. The glass slides and other bits that go along with this microscope are also well thought out and very helpful with this being my child's first microscope. However, the two biggest drawbacks are:-
1) No adjustable table for the glass slides, considering the high magnification that this device offers. That means that, at high magnifications, the slightest touch of the glass slide pretty much changes the viewing area altogether.
2) No fine tuning for focusing. Another big drawback considering the magnification that this thing can handle.
I should add that there are lots of different microscopes in the market for a wide range of prices and given that this one is on the low end of the scale, I wonder if its wishful thinking to expect to have those two drawbacks named above.
