I did side-by-side testing with Meade 9mm, 16mm and 26mm...the quality and clarity was superior every length. The 8mm-24mm zoom eyepiece is okay for the wider field viewing like 24mm, but zooming in to 15mm or 8mm reveals a noticeable degradation when compared to the individual lenses of the same length. Admittedly, the idea of one lens for all, reducing the time spent changing lenses might seem like a good idea but it's disappointing. Definitely not worth the price tag
